The Witcher 3 is one of those rare games that you will find yourself comparing every other title to. It becomes something great from the very beginning. And don’t be scared off by the number three in the title. I, personally, had not completed the second Witcher and never even tried the first. There may be a couple of times you wish you had a little bit more back story, but all in all, the storytelling is simply awesome. Games don’t normally do nearly as good of job telling a story and still allowing you to make choices as you see with the Witcher 3.
As for combat, it’s a little tough to get used to if you are a normal hack and slasher. In the harder difficulties you definitely won’t get by with just button mashing. You will have to think through your responses and fighting styles for each enemy.

Best game I've played in years! With how long it takes doing side quests and witcher jos - the story line along with add ons, the game is worth buying, its not short like these other games now days, it takes days to lvl up and complete everything, which with the map being big its highly enjoyable. I don't care that the game takes more then 36 hours to beat if your just aiming on main story, but thats what makes the game great unlike these other games that are $60 and can be beaten in 5-8 hours. But to get to the point i highly recomend buying this if you love adventure and medieval era type games. If you like awesome online games then it might not be exactly what you are looking for.

If you're looking for story, depth & immersion, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the game for you. So far I've played through campaign three times, and each playthrough felt drastically different. Never before has there been an open world high fantasy RPG, with such gorgeous graphics, compelling story, character developement & fantastic gameplay! Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the best RPG on this current gen.
